Message from the Vice-Chancellor on the Eve of Teachers’ Day 2024

Honourable Vice Chancellor

Prof. (Dr.) Bimalendu Shekhar Jha

Dear Esteemed Colleagues,

As we all know, we celebrate Teacher’s Day on the eve of the birthday of the greatest scholar, philanthropist, philosopher, and role model for teachers, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the first Vice-President and second President of Independent India.
As a token of respect to the departed soul, this is the day of self-retrospection for all of us. Please do remember our role as teachers, the impact of which reflects on society and the country as a whole through our students. A good teacher always lives in the heart of their students. The herculean task of character building and shaping the personality of students rests on our shoulders. We, in the university, are in fact the torchbearers of illuminating not only our students but also the community around us.

We must not forget that we are the source and reservoir of new knowledge, which should be shared on social media, newspapers, and other such platforms.
The various aspects of NEP 2020 introduced in the Universities of Bihar, under the dynamic leadership of the Honorable Governor-cum- Chancellor of the Universities of Bihar, Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar Ji, will definitely go a long way in the holistic development of our students, as well as in propagating our rich cultural heritage and development of strong national integrity.

Wish you all a Happy Teacher’s Day.
